Vision is one of the many things that may deteriorate with age. As you are now all in the 50+ age bracket, you will have noticed that for most of you, reading became a bit harder in your mid-forties and you will have needed reading glasses - or you will have chosen to ignore the fact that you couldn't see the print in the phone book, started squinting at small print and holding all your papers at arms length!! We want to encourage you to get the best sight possible by having your eyes checked regularly and wearing glasses or lenses that will give you optimum vision.

To encourage this we are offering to extend our 25% discount for the over 60's to include 50-59 year olds who hold Angus Gold Entitlement cards

ANGUS GOLD DISCOUNT ENTITLEMENT
As well as any of our standard Specsavers offers Angus Gold card holders will be entitled to 25% discount off of a single complete pair of spectacles. This offer is currently only available as our over 60s offer but we are delighted to extend this single pair discount to the over 50 - 59 age group who hold a 'Gold' card. This additional discount will not be available to over 50s whom are not members of Angus Gold.

The discount is available on a complete purchase (frames and lenses) from our £69 range and above. It is ONLY AVAILABLE IN SPECSAVERS ARBROATH. No other Specsavers will honour this discount due to the nature of Specsavers franchising system. This is a local Arbroath decision to extend the Over 60s discount to the 50+ age range and is NOT available in Montrose or Dundee.

Abertay University

You can use your card to become a member of the superb library at the Abertay University in Dundee

You do not have to be a student to use our Library, all you need is to bring in your Angus Gold card and complete a membership form. The normal fee payable for external library membership has been waived and there is no charge. You will be able to borrow up to six books at a time.

The library has book and journal stock covering many areas such as computing and programming, computer arts, statistics, sports sciences, the environment, business and management, pure science and accountancy, psychology and sociology, nursing and counselling.

Our online catalogue is available at http://catalogue.abertay.ac.uk so you can search for a specific book and check its availability, or search for a keyword or topic and browse through the results. We also have compilations of free electronic resources arranged by subject which can be accessed through the Internet via our virtual library http://vlib.abertay.ac.uk, (click on "subject links" from the list on the main page).

The Library is also a BT Openzone hotspot, so if you have your own wi-fi enabled laptop you can use it to access the Internet in the Library. Vouchers for BT Openzone are on sale at the Enquiry Desk on Level 1 of the Library.

Our award-winning building is close to Dundee city centre, in Bell Street, so why not come in and have a look round next time you have a few spare minutes? Our staff will be happy to help you whether you are just browsing or looking for something specific.
