The Learning Shop in Arbroath offers free, drop-in anytime, learning for adults who want to revisit their skills in reading, writing, spelling or maths. It's friendly and fun. There are people of all ages and, we hear that, 'you get a good cup of tea'!

Louis (60) says - When I was at school I got the belt for writing with my left hand and was then stuck in a corner for the rest of the day. When I left school and got a job, I worked with people who could read and write better than me and I had to work dammed hard all my working life to keep up with them. I started at the learning shop two years ago and now I'm getting on with my reading and the spelling. I've written a book called 'Tutties Neuk' and it was published so other folks can read it. I enjoy coming here twice a week!
