Community care services play a crucial role in helping vulnerable people in Angus have good quality lives in their own homes and communities. The broad range of services provide support to people affected by problems of ageing, illness, disability or addiction. And this includes carers, who themselves give substantial care and support to relatives and friends. Whatever your concern, situation or interest there is probably a local organisation or support group that will meet your needs. Please take a look at this list and feel free to contact any one - they're there for you. Over 50's: keep fit groups, indoor bowls, afternoon fellowship, craft club, lunch club and much more. Aims to promote the welfare of older people in Angus - by lobbying, initiation of new projects, dissemination of news etc. A Resource Worker is available to give advice, information, education and support to carers of people with Dementia. The Angus Access Panel exists to advise on and campaign for improved access to the built environment for disabled people. Information, advice and support to voluntary and community groups. Where they are unable to do this they will immediately forward your enquiry/request to the appropriate department. We will give you a unique reference number so you can track your enquiry if required. Our aim is to deal with your enquiry/request as quickly as possible.
