Home Laundry Service
Contact one of the Social Work offices found HERE to find out more. Remember to use your BACK button to return to the last page that you were on.
As part of our commitment to helping older people live comfortably and safely in their own homes for as long as possible, Angus Council operates a Community Laundry Service. Laundry is collected once a week and returned the following week - but this can be done more often if required.
Before you can use the service a care manager or home care assessor will assess your needs. The service will be provided to you if you need help with your laundry because:
• You have no laundry facilities at home.
• You, or someone living in the house, have a particular medical condition which means that bedding needs to be changed often.
• You, or someone living in the house, have problems with continence.
• You are in a crisis situation where you need urgent help to wash clothes or bedding.
The service is available to people in all parts of Angus, with the laundry van visiting each area to collect and deliver laundry. Extra journeys may also be made if there is an emergency.
If you think you or someone you know might find this service useful, please contact your care manager or home care assessor (if you have one). You can also phone or visit any of the social work offices listed HERE.
