The Welfare Rights money advisors offer free, confidential advice on a range of debt problems to anyone who is resident in Angus. This specialist service can be provided at our office or in you own home and covers matters such as:

• liability for debts,
• negotiating with creditors,
• calculating offers and repayments to creditors, and
• bankruptcy.

The advisors will assist clients with the new Debt Arrangement Scheme and can advise and assist those who may have rent and council tax arrears. Depending on the type of action involved, they could also represent you in court. They cannot, however, provide advice on investments - their remit is strictly debt problems.
